Alchem solid abrasive compoundsare made mixing in appropriated containers various greases with abrasive powder: natural powder (tripole/quartz) or metal oxide powder (Al2/ O3).
The different features in our compounds are due to a different grain and hardness of the abrasive mixture.
You can choose a compound considering the size, the material you have to work, the buff you have to use and necessary working time you need.
Therefore there are no specific details but only suggestions we can give to you and test you can make to find the right compound you need.
Applications
Solid abrasive pastes are used at a production and industrial level in the surface processing of many materials.
Brightening
Dry compounds, low in fat, are produced using both natural and synthetic abrasives. They are used for mirror polishing various articles.
Polishing
Medium fat compounds, produced with Natural and Synthetic Abrasives. They are used for surface polishing of various articles.
Cleaning
Predominantly greasy compounds, produced with Natural and Synthetic Abrasives. They are used for the homogeneous preparation of the surface of the articles before being polished.
Grinding
Compounds based on animal, vegetable and wax fats. Used for the lubrication of abrasive belts during grinding phases.
Super finish
Very dry compounds are prepared with specially refined waxes, polishes, and greases exclusively of vegetable origin. They are produced with special synthetic abrasives that are micronized. These compounds are used for super brightening various articles and are widely employed in the super finishing of fashion accessories, jewelry, and precious metals, as well as in the medical industry.
